Why I Started Nanna Jen’s Services
Pets have been part of my life for more than 40 years, but Nanna Jens Services grew from something much deeper than simply loving them.
After more than 20 years caring for people as a nurse, I understood the importance of patience, observation, compassion and noticing the little changes that others can sometimes miss.
When I moved into professional pet care, I realized those same qualities were especially important for pets who needed a little more understanding — senior pets, anxious and rescue pets, those requiring medication, and pets who simply cope better in their own familiar surroundings.
What began as pet care in 2021 became Nanna Jens Services in 2022, built around one simple belief:
Pets deserve to feel safe, understood and comfortable in their own home while their family is away.
Today, I personally provide private in-home care across
Brisbane, Moreton Bay, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
Why “Nanna Jen”?
The name Nanna Jen has been part of my life for many years, so when it came time to name my business, I asked my grandchildren what they thought it should be.
Their answer became Nanna Jens Services. 💜
It felt personal, warm and completely me — the perfect name for a business built around care, trust and treating every pet as part of the family.

Pets I Have Cared For
Over the years, I've personally cared for 350+ pets, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs, fish, chickens and farm animals including goats, sheep, cattle and pigs.
My particular focus today is private in-home care for senior, anxious, rescue, medical and special-needs pets who benefit from patience, consistency and familiar surroundings.
For safety reasons, I do not provide care for roosters, reptiles including snakes,
rodents such as rats and mice, or boars.
