When a beloved pet reaches their final chapter, families often need more than practical support.
They need compassion, understanding and someone who genuinely understands the bond
they share with their pet.
I provide gentle, in-home palliative and end-of-life support for pets and families across Brisbane,
Moreton Bay, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, helping pets remain surrounded by the familiar comforts of home.
My focus is not veterinary treatment. It is comfort, dignity, companionship and emotional support,
while working alongside your pet's existing veterinary care plan.

What Is Pet Palliative Care?
Pet palliative care is comfort-focused support for pets living with age-related decline, a terminal illness or changing care needs, with an emphasis on quality of life, emotional wellbeing and maintaining familiar routines.
Every pet's journey is different. Support is tailored to the individual pet and family, helping maintain comfort, familiarity and dignity while respecting veterinary guidance and the pet's established care plan.
For some families, support may be needed for a short period. For others, palliative care may become part of their pet's routine over a longer period of time.
When Might Support Help?
Palliative support may be helpful when your pet is experiencing age-related decline, living with a terminal or life-limiting condition, requiring additional comfort care, or approaching their final chapter.
Support may also help families who need an experienced, compassionate person to spend time with their pet, maintain familiar routines, provide medication according to veterinary instructions, observe changes in wellbeing or simply offer calm companionship and reassurance.
The aim is never to replace your veterinarian, but to provide additional support around your pet's established veterinary care.
Working Alongside Your Veterinarian
My role is not to diagnose or treat your pet.
I provide non-clinical, comfort-focused support alongside your pet's veterinarian and established care plan.
This may include medication support according to veterinary instructions, observing and documenting changes in wellbeing, maintaining familiar routines, providing companionship and helping your pet remain comfortable and settled in their own home.
Any concerns about pain, deterioration, medication or changes in your pet's medical condition should always be discussed with your veterinarian.
In-Home Palliative Support
Every pet and family will need something different. Support is tailored around your pet's established routine, veterinary care plan, comfort and individual needs.
Support may include:
• Calm companionship and reassurance
• Medication support according to veterinary instructions
• Senior pet wellbeing checks
• Quality-of-life observations
• Maintaining familiar routines
• Emotional support for pets and families
• Gentle Canine Massage where appropriate
• Animal Reiki, including distance Reiki
• Creating calm and comfortable surroundings
• Support before or following veterinary appointments
• Overnight in-home support where available
All care is personally provided by Jen in your pet's own familiar home.

Gentle Holistic Support
Where appropriate, holistic therapies may be incorporated into your pet's palliative support to promote calm, relaxation and emotional wellbeing.
As a qualified Animal Reiki Practitioner, Certified Canine Massage Therapist and Holistic Animal Wellness Practitioner, I can provide gentle complementary support tailored to your pet's comfort and preferences.
Your pet is never forced to participate. Their body language, choices and comfort always come first.

What to Expect
Before providing palliative support, I'll take the time to understand your pet's routine, current needs, veterinary care plan, personality and what is most important to your family.
Care is then provided around your pet's established routine and comfort, with close attention to their behavior and any changes you have asked me to observe.
I understand that circumstances can change quickly during palliative care.
Communication with families is therefore an important part of the support I provide.

Nanna Jen's Services provides in-home palliative and end-of-life pet support across selected areas of Brisbane, Moreton Bay, the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and surrounding coastal and hinterland areas.
Care is provided in your pet's own familiar environment wherever possible, helping maintain their established routines and surroundings during this sensitive stage.
Availability and travel fees may vary depending on location.
